Rodriguez has signed on to make the film with an expected 2010 bow..

MTV Movies Blog EXCLUSIVE: Robert Rodriguez Hopes To Begin Filming Live-Action ‘Jetsons’ Movie Next Year

If he holds to this, it may be one of the busiest years for any director I can remember, with four productions ongoing.

I actually would love to see this, but I have a feeling it is going to be filled with really bad cheap CGI similar to the Spy Kids series.

Re: Rodriguez takes "The Jetsons" to the big screen..

Apparently they didn't get the hint from the two live-action Flintstones movies. Or the Josie and the Pussycats film.

Re: Rodriguez takes "The Jetsons" to the big screen..

The first Flinstones was a pretty huge blockbuster back in the day.

I agree with others though, while I love Desperado, Planet Terror, and liked Sin City ... not really into the Spy Kids films and I think this will probably have similar low grade CGI.

I remember when the live action Jetsons movie was making rumors many years ago and that Danny Devito was going to play Mr. Spacely and that Bill Pullman was going to play George Jetson

I always thought that William H. Macy would be a great George Jetson. He looks the part (although may be a little too old at this point), and has certainly played his share of George Jetson type characters.
