So, here is the problem that still haunts me:
I have a laptop (Acer Extensa 5430) with HDMI-output (works perfectly with a normal LCD TV). I want to connect it to a projector (Infocus IN76) which has HDM-input.
Everything is then supposed to be working 100%, but NO! I never even got as much as an indication that the projector receives any signal from my laptop. I already try the following without any luck:
- Different HDMI cables
- Different settings under the “Screen Resolution” (I’m using Windows 7 RC) - extending desktop ect.
- VGA-to-component cables
- Fn + F5 - lots of times
- Changed the settings in the projector menu regarding “DDC”
- Changed the resolution and the refresh rate Hz of the output from the laptop - I’ve followed the projector’s manuel 100%.
- Switched the laptop and the projector on and off: First the laptop, then the projector, reversing the order etc.
------
I also tried with another laptop, also with HDMI-output - it too worked perfectly with a LCD TV. And it too didn’t work with the Infocus IN76.
Maybe the strangest thing is that the projector actually is able to get a signal from an X-BOX (via HDMI) and a signal from a TV setup box (via component)!
Every advice would be much appreciated!
