Married...With Children Season 11

I told myself I wouldn't be picking this up after season 7 because it just wasn't that funny anymore - it tried too hard with over-the-top storylines, but I ended picking them up anyway. I don't remember much about the final season. Was it a full season? Were there any specials/two-parters? All I CAN remember is that it felt as if it was unceremoniously dumped toward the end. They didn't even bother with an appropriate sendoff. Not the way to end a show than was on the air for eleven years.

Well if memory serves, the final episode wasn't originally supposed to be the finale. It certainly didn't feel like one. I believe they pulled the plug on the show before a finale episode could be produced. But I do agree. As much as I loved the show, it definitely went downhill towards the end. During its original run, I remember losing interest and watching less and less episodes. Be that as it may, I will see this series through to completion. Still remains one of my all-time favorite sitcoms.

Judging from the lack of responses I'd say absolutely no one but myself and the gentleman who posted after me are interested in the final season, which could only mean that the overwhelming consensus is that the show is, well, crap? Anyone have any thoughts on how they should've ended the series?
