Culver City, Calif. (June 1, 2009): Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release Fragments on DVD on August 4, 2009. This film features an incredible ensemble of talented actors including Kate Beckinsale (Underworld, Pearl Harbor), Dakota Fanning (Coraline, Push), Guy Pearce (Memento, L.A. Confidential), Jeanne Tripplehorn (“Grey Gardens,” “Big Love”) and Academy Award® winners Forest Whitaker (Best Actor, The Last King of Scotland, 2006) and Jennifer Hudson (Best Supporting Actress, Dreamgirls, 2006). Based on the critically acclaimed novel “Winged Creatures” by Roy Freirich, the film was honored as an Official Selection of the 2008 Los Angeles Film Festival.
Synopsis
One moment can change a lifetime. Shots ring out and the early morning tranquility of a diner shatters. As survivors pick up the pieces they find themselves transforming in the most unexpected ways as they cope with the aftermath. One brief moment and their lives are changed forever.
