Private message box anomaly

I have a total of 33 messages on my PM box, all read. But the little readout on the upper right of the forum setup always displays the flashing "new Message" icon and lists unread messages as 65533 while the total still reads 33.

It's been like this for a while and since it causes no problems with posting or sending and recieving PM's I figured I'd let whatever problem it was get discovered and fixed.

But it's been a while and I am wondering if it's just supposed to be like this or if it's an undiscovered problem.

Not quite undiscovered or unique, Michael.

IIRC, there is a link within that thread that gives you the answer of how to make it all go away.

I did the mark as read technique and it appears to have worked fine
