Hammer gets 'Bazooka Joe' to chew on

I love how this story developed - "Your script didn't sell, guy, but we love what you did and we're going to offer you the first crack at the opportunity of a lifetime because we want you to write a two hour bubblegum advertisement for us!"

I can't wait for the Keebler Elves and Snap, Crackle, and Pop movies to come out.

Why did Powell and Pressburger waste their time on The Life and Death of Col. Blimp when they could have made The Life and Death of Cap'n Crunch? And Francis Ford Coppola could have easily revived his career with Bram Stoker's Chocula. And what possessed J.J. Abrams to reboot Star Trek when he could have rebooted Quisp and Quake?
