CD Player?

Hi I have a Kenwood 5 disc changer CD Player Model #DP-R6070 and I was just wondering what the edit button is for?

It's for use when recording a cd to cassette. If the cd is longer than the tape you are recording it on you can edit the songs (phase out the last few seconds) so all of them fit on the tape. Here's the owners manual Kenwood DPR 6070.
