"Party Down" New Starz Series

Was hoping someone had seen this new show, and was enjoying it.
I've seen 2 episodes, I'm hooked.

"Ken Marino, Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen and Lizzy Caplan have been cast in "Party Down," a new series about a Los Angeles catering team. Production has started in Los Angeles on the new original series from Starz Entertainment, in association with its television production sibling Starz Media.

This is the first series Starz Media is producing for Starz. "Each episode of this half-hour comedy finds the hapless catering team working a new event -- and inevitably getting tangled up with the colorful guests and their absurd lives," Starz Entertainment said in a news release Wednesday. The series was created and is executive produced by Rob Thomas, creator of "Veronica Mars" and "Cupid."

Re: "Part Down" New Starz Series

The show just completed its season.

The fact that this is the only post on it here must mean that people here don't get Starz. It is the funniest show on TV now.

I mean, it is essentially a VERONICA MARS reunion series. Each week, different cast members returned. The finale, with Kristen Bell, was hysterical.

It would have been more helpful if I'd gotten the thread title correct, it's "Party Down"

The first couple episodes of season two were a bit rough, with Henry still giving Casey the cold shoulder (for obvious reasons) and Megan Mullaly's character not yet jiving well with the rest of the cast. Last night's episode was much better, with Thomas Lennon's failed orgy pushing a lot of characters out of their comfort zones. I'm really happy they decided to jump ahead nine months between seasons, because it allowed things to play out that we wouldn't have wanted to sit through. I'm glad Casey's cruise ship gig was a modest success, for instance, and I'm glad Ron got a good shot at Soup 'r Crackers.
