Hi every one.
I have confusion to try dtv with my Sharp LC-26DA5U.
on owner's manual it says dtv ready. and it need dtv decoder.
but I call the sharp and they said it will be play the dtv if i have antenna.
so, I made DIY antenna but it didn't work.
is there anyone using this tv and successfully watching dtv?

so, I have couple questions.
1. I been look up dtv decoder and I found only LG dvd- has dtv decoder.
so, I just want to know what is dtv decoder.
2 I'm just guessing if I buy dtv receiver my tv will work.
but I heard that some of the receiver digital -> analogue -> digital
that means loosing quality right? so I want to d->d->d but it's little pricer.
3. I want to know that if i plug dtv antenna it will work?
4. what's the difference between dtv receiver and dtv decoder?
5. I need recommendation for best quality and also cheapest choice i can make.

my wife wants to see some of the international tv.
please help me out with this.
Life is getting chaos with lots of choice.
Thanks all.

If when you say DTV you mean HDTV then you just need to buy an antenna. I wouldnt count on being able to pick up any stations unless they broadcast within a few miles of your home tho. Surly wouldnt expect you to be able to pick up international channels, even not knowing where you live. For that you will need to subscribe to a cable or sat service.
