Gene Roddenberry Tv-Movie pilots?

With Star Trek back in the public eye in a big way, it would be nice to see some of these come out on disc. "From the creator of the original Star Trek" makes for a nice cover blurb.

Genesis II and Planet Earth are essentially the same concept, and would make a good double feature, if Warner's owns them both. The central character of Dylan Hunt would later be revamped for the Kevin Sorbo series "Andromeda".

I haven't seen "The Questor Tapes" in ages, but I've read the android character was a template for Data on TNG.

My personal favorite, Spectre, is certainly a forerunner of all the spooky paranormal shows we've had since. I've read a there's a racy European cut of this.

The chances for extras would probably be slim to none, but many of the cast members are still around.

What do you think, sirs?

I would love to see a set put out with all the Rodenberry pilots. That would be awesome.

Thirded.

I saw Questor Tapes again a few weeks ago. Fun movie, would of been a good show.

I would take all these pilots!

This is the version that was shown on Fox Movie Channel a few years ago (I still have the tape).

Could you tell what was different? Did they simply toss in some nudity?

I've never seen a copy of the NBC version, so can't say. All I know is that footage was added to the orgy/revelry scene (or, alternatively, deleted from that scene for NBC). One review I saw online said that the scene felt less "choppy" with the Euro version, perhaps suggesting that the nudity wasn't simply insert shots, but was filmed with the Euro presentation in mind first.

I think I read somewhere there was a little more gore in this version, too. Again, never saw the original TV presentation to compare, though I'm sure there are some people out there who have seen both.
