You really think if Sony got a phone call from Steven Speilberg demanding that they not release it, they wouldn't listen? He has no legal right to stop it but if he was deadset against a release happening, they would listen to him.

Of course they would listen to him, but the point is that it is somewhat audacious of Spielberg to bellyache about Columbia releasing a film they own lock, stock and barrel. Unless, like I said, there was some serious quality issues with the release

It was an outstanding release in several ways. Really top notch.

Mediocre, maybe, but "mediocre" is a far cry from "awefull" and "I had to turn it off after about 10 minutes."

It was 2000 when they came out. Not many films received 2 disc special editions, so putting extras on the same disc was normal most of the time. And yes, it does look a bit mediocre but it's more than watchable. And it's especially not awful, what Steven thinks.

Re: Any rumblings about JURASSIC PARK on Blu?

Assuming that we get DTS-HD MA on JP, because it is Universal and Spielberg, do you think we'll get the home theater mix from the DTS Laserdisc and re-issue of the DTS dvd or you think we'll see another mix on this title? I have the re-issue/laserdisc DTS track DVD and did have the first DTS dvd, which was severely lacking in the bass. I don't know if that inferior track was completely scrapped later on by Universal or what exactly was done with it.
