Greetings!
This my first post in this forum. It looks like there are a lot of nice folks with a vast array of knowledge.
OK, here's my problem:
I have a Pioneer Elite reciever VSX-74TXVi which is almost 3 years old. It is hooked up to a 5.1 surround with MKS speakers. Everything went great for nearly 3 years until yesterday. Now, the sound is much more faint, and it crackles very bad thru all the speakers. I have tried the TV, DVD, CD, headphones & tuner and it all behaves the same. I did send it out for a reccommended firmware upgrade 2 years ago. I have checked all the connections and even done a master reset on the unit, all to no avail. This happend all of a sudden. I have noticed, however, that for about the past year or so, the sound would occasionally go silent for just a fraction of a second. This occurred regularly and I kind of got used to it.
Anyone have any ideas? This is an expensive unit to be failing after only 3 years.
Thanks!!
