HDMI cable length

Construction of my new house has just started, and it includes a dedicated home theatre room. The room measures 4.55m(W) x 5.15m(L) x 3m (H).

We put a powerpoint provision on the ceiling towards the back of the room for a projector.

But now I am worried about the cable length required for the HDMI connection from the source player to the projector. I plan to have the equipment up the front of the room.

Therefore, I would need to run the HDMI cable up the wall, over the ceiling, which is about 3m (wall) + 4m (over ceiling) + 1m (down to projector coming down from ceiling).

This makes for a HDMI cable length of about 8m. Will this cause a problem with a bad signal from the cable?

Re: HDMI cable length

8m is about 25 feet. That's not a problem. I'm using a 35ft HDMI cable to my projector. Monoprice sells HDMI cables up to 100ft. It's a digital signal, either you get a perfect picture or you get nothing. There is very little in-between.
