Altec Lansing Model 510/S-CR

A local guy has a pair of these unopened in a box and they are too big for his room. He is asking $500 for the unopened pair, but I cannot find any info anywhere on them. Does anyone have these speakers, or know anything about them? I have heard great things about Altec Lansing, but I have to admit, my experience with them has only been in regards to great computer speakers

Re: Altec Lansing Model 510/S-CR

Please read product description below:

"Technologies mature. Tastes change. Audio evolves. However, qualitatively speaking, some of the best speakers to ever hit the market did so years ago. That's why Altec Lansing is re-issuing some real classics: the 510 S speakers famous for their sensitivity and power. What's more, Altec Lensing has tweaked these systems ever so slightly, enhancing their best qualities and furthering the "art of balance." The result? An audio experience that offers all the best qualities of yesterday and today."

Trivia:
Did you know that Altec Lansing's Sound Products Division provided the loudspeakers for the Woodstock Festival 1969. (source: wikipedia)
Did you know also that JBL stands for James B. Lansing (am I making any sense? lol)
