Announcement: Warner Home Video Blu-Ray Loyalty and HD-DVD Trade Up Program - Page 8

Yeah, box set, digibook, regular case, I don't care as long there's a movie in it!
I received the same email about Casablanca.  I was only interested in the movie so that works out fine for me.    It'll be good to finally get all the movies I ordered back in April, although I still have to wait a couple of months to get them to Honduras.

Got the exact same email a couple of days ago and my card was charged this morning, so I'm sure the package will be here soon. It's been a long wait, but it will be worth it.
anyone get their package yet?
Rats, I left out the Casablanca disc when I sent in my order, not wanting the whole shebang held up until September.  I'm amazed they are shipping pre-release-date copies of the single disc version.
I got an email yesterday saying that the discs had shipped.  Apparently, WB didn't charge me for the Casablanca Disc.  The receipt says $0 alongside the entry for Casablanca.  Neat.  So, a big thank you to Warner Brothers is in order.

Edit:  OK, I just realized that other posts indicated that Casablanca would be complimentary.  I just forgot.  Anyway, thanks Warner Brothers

I left Casablanca out of my bulk order.  I wonder how WB would treat my applications for a switch for just the Casablanca disc now?  Do you think they would just charge me the $7 shipping?
I just received my single-disc Casablanca, which was the only outstanding item on my order. So they must finally be cleaning up the old orders.
Received my 13 discs, including complimentary copies of Matrix & Casablanca (in standard cases without shrink wrap). It was a long wait, but worth it. Thanks, WB!

Edited to remove dumb question.

Was it for me, Mike? Cuz I'm full of dumb answers!

It wuz!

But a quick review of the last couple of pages answered it.

I wasn't sure whether you had actually sent in HD-DVD covers for The Matrix and Casablanca...or they had sent "complimentary copies" of both films because you were just a great guy!
So you realized the answer was BOTH...right?

But yeah, I'd sent in covers for each. I actually have the Matrix HD-DVD boxset, but only sent in the cover for first film.
Well, I never had any doubts about the "good guy" part.  It was your use of the work "complimentary" that made me think for a foolish minute they were just handing out free BDs.

My shipment got out and I'm expecting it next Tuesday.

Yes, "complimentary" is a little misleading. These were at no charge after a 3-month backorder wait, so maybe "booby prize"?
Ya see, to me that would likely mean a free copy of some Russ Meyer film...

On Blu-ray? Wow, that could take an eye out. But, uh, anyway...hopefully everyone else who's been waiting will get their BDs soon!

So how does order fulfillment seem to be for those making more recent orders?

After my large order in April, I came across a cheap copy of 300 on HD-DVD. I sent that sleeve in with a few other titles I hadn't included in the initial order, and that was fulfilled fairly quickly...maybe 2 weeks?
got my box yesterday including Harry Potter trunk, sealed.  all else sealed except Matrix :)

Are they not sending out the Matrix trilogy 10th anniversary BD boxes anymore for those who have ordered them in the promotion?  I still haven't send submitted an order, waiting for the smoke to clear.

I don't see Casablanca listed on the site.  Is it not available?

Casablanca was pulled from the site months ago, when the issue first surfaced with order fulfillment. Whether they'll take new orders now is something only the CS reps could answer (and even they may not know).

If you're referring to the "Ultimate Matrix" collection, it's still listed on the site. It just costs more than when the site first went live.

Thanks Michael.  It would be nice to see that situation change when the less expensive version comes out.

"Upgrade" HDDVD to Blu-ray? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! No, it's actually a switchover. Upgrading would be possibly to the HVD format in the future. Also converting HDDVD to Blu-ray sounds better or summat.
I'm looking up which titles have superior audio for the switcherooing to Blu. They only need the covers, right?

Covers and cash.  Hey, that might have been a good name for the program!

Details are at Red2Blu.com, Ray.

The Hong Kong release of The Last Samurai has Dolby TrueHD so Warners USA lost out on that one. I'm not changing over the ones which have MPEG2 on the Blu-ray and lossy audio. Or the ones which have ze jaggies.
I'm still figuring out how to make the HDTV downloads/broadcasts of movies I have which aren't even on Blu-ray or HDDVD in any country to play on my Blu-ray player... You know, as interims and NOT bootlegs. I do have the DVD counterparts but these things are just interim versions. How do I make an AVCHD though? I hope this paragraph isn't against forum rules since it is just a broadcast and not ripping from a deesc.
You know I could take complete advantage of this offer and order alot of the titles listed on that site of which I can buy the HDDVD's from inetvideo.com and even Amazon Marketplace. Possibly even Harry Potter?! (You know I'd just give someone the HDDVD discs and sell off the Blu-rays for extra cash, suckers.)

Got my order pretty quickly, but it was also short a title.  :(
post #240 of 242
Kudos to the customer service. Got a quick response and a quick shipment of the missing title from the order.
