Re: Announcement: Warner Home Video Blu-Ray Loyalty and HD-DVD Trade Up Program

CHECK YOUR ORDER!

E-mail I sent to service@red2blu.com:

To whom it may concern:

The list sent in the box of Blu-ray discs sent to me had a correct listing of the 25 HD-DVD original cover-art titles that I mailed in to Red2Blu.

BUT WHEN I CHECKED THE ORDER:

There were only 23 Blu-ray cases in the box that I opened.

Out of the 25 original HD-DVD cover-art titles I sent in on my list, only 18 were correctly exchanged for the Blu-ray disc titles.

1) 16 Blocks
2) Batman Begins
3) Clockwork Orange, A: Special Edition...........(NOT INCLUDED)...(1)
4) Constantine
5) Dirty Dozen, The...........................................(NOT INCLUDED)...(2)
6) Firewall.................................................. ......(NOT INCLUDED)...(3)
7) Fugitive, The.................................................( NOT INCLUDED)...(4)
8) Full Metal Jacket: Deluxe Edition
9) Goodfellas
10)Happy Feet
11)Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.....................................(NOT INCLUDED)...(5)
12)Last Samurai, The
13)Lethal Weapon
14)Lethal Weapon 2
15)Phantom of the Opera
16)Adventures of Robin Hood
17)Rumor Has It
18)Searchers, The............................................(NOT INCLUDED)...(6)
19)Space Cowboys
20)Superman, The Movie..................................(NOT INCLUDED)...(7)
21)Superman II: Richard Donner Cut, The
22)Superman Returns
23)Training Day
24)Unforgiven
25)V for Vendetta

There are 5 different titles that were included in the box.

Batman Begins (a second copy of this title sent in the same order)
A Scanner Darkly
Troy: Directors Cut
300
House of Wax

AND

TWO Blu-ray cases (titles) were OMITTED which only made a count of 23 cases in the box. (Please see the "NOT INCLUDED" titles on the above list that should have been in the box.

Looking forward to your response to get this error straightened out.

Sincerely,

Paul Hillenbrand

Jeez, Paul. In addition to the email, be sure to call 1-866-276-6176 and talk to a CSR in person. Make sure you have your order # handy.

Re: Announcement: Warner Home Video Blu-Ray Loyalty and HD-DVD Trade Up Program

Everyone should take this with appropriate amounts of salt, but I was just told that Casablanca is in and that my order will ship shortly. Whenever it arrives, the first thing I plan to do is inventory it very carefully, given Paul H.'s experience.

Speaking of which...any update from Paul?!?

Re: Announcement: Warner Home Video Blu-Ray Loyalty and HD-DVD Trade Up Program

UPDATE: I'm now being told that I'm on hold again, awaiting Casablanca.

Either that earlier report was erroneous, or they didn't receive enough copies for their pending orders. If anyone at HTF receives an order containing Casablanca, please post here.

Man that was a major screw-up. Are those folks getting any sleep in the warehouse?

Glad my order was early and small.

Good luck.

Re: Announcement: Warner Home Video Blu-Ray Loyalty and HD-DVD Trade Up Program

My order was moderate in size and I sent it on April 22 (They received April 29). I can't figure out what would be holding it up:

Blade Runner: Complete Collector's Edition (BD)$14.95
Clockwork Orange, A: Special Edition (BD)$4.95
Eyes Wide Shut: Special Edition (BD)$4.95
2001: A Space Odyssey: Special Edition (BD)$4.95
Full Metal Jacket: Deluxe Edition (BD)$4.95
Shining, The: Special Edition (BD)$4.95
Superman, The Movie (BD)$4.95
Superman Returns (BD) (TrueHD Audio)$4.95
Fountain, The (BD)$4.95
Blazing Saddles (BD)$4.95
Letters From Iwo Jima (BD)$4.95
Scanner Darkly, A (BD)$4.95

Sorry it took so long for me to respond.

Around the first of June Red2Blu sent me 6 of the 7 titles I originally ordered that were not included in my 25 title order. The only missing title still omitted was Firewall, and I'm not going to spend any more time on it.

They never asked for the 5 incorrect Blu-ray titles back that were sent along with 18 correct exchanged titles:
Batman Begins (a second copy of this title sent in the same order)
A Scanner Darkly
Troy: Directors Cut
300
House of Wax

So I feel that they have been more than generous.

Hi Michael

I called them a few days ago regarding my 6 week old order and was told the same thing, that Casablanca was holding up my order.

So I asked if they could ship out everything in stock now and just ship Casablanca when it is in stock. And to also PLEASE not charge an additional $6.95 shipping for Casablanca.

So she ammended the order, and the in stock blu-rays shipped yesterday and I should have them tomorrow.

Casablanca should arrive on it's own in 2-3 weeks at no additional freight.

Good Luck

Guess my order from 4/24 is still waiting for Casablanca.
Between this and my digital copy code for BATMAN not working, I feel the need to give WB a
(and I NEVER use emoticons)

Well, almost "never."

Yeah, I crossed a line. Surprisingly cathartic, though!

You seem to have started something. I was offered the same option before I even had a chance to ask for it.

Re: Announcement: Warner Home Video Blu-Ray Loyalty and HD-DVD Trade Up Program

Forgive me if this has been asked before but what is a good (Cheap) site to get some HD DVDs from? I want to try this offer but still need to see if the effort/price to buy some low priced HD DVD titles and then trade them to WB is actually worth it.

For those who have gotten a completed order. WB sends you a disc and new sleeve, or do you get an entirely new sealed Bluray?

Thanks!

Dang, lucky you. I just called to check on my order. It's being held up by Casablanca, but the CSR I spoke to almost immediately offered to split the order and noted that if I did that, they'd charge me the $6.95 shipping for Casablanca when it finally came in (and he didn't know when that'd be). I'll try again later and see if I get a nicer CSR and/or plead my case to not get charged for shipping again.

My order is being held up by Planet Earth...it's been almost eight weeks now.

Re: Announcement: Warner Home Video Blu-Ray Loyalty and HD-DVD Trade Up Program

My partial order -- sans Casablanca and Planet Earth -- turned up yesterday. Thankfully everything was there. Curious when the other two titles will turn up.

PS - Dave, they told me that there wouldn't be any additional shipping costs for those two titles.

Re: Announcement: Warner Home Video Blu-Ray Loyalty and HD-DVD Trade Up Program

I did get an email confirming that they received my list/art (which I sent 6 weeks ago and just got the confirmation this week).

I do have Casablanca on the list, so I suspect I'll just be waiting.

Re: Announcement: Warner Home Video Blu-Ray Loyalty and HD-DVD Trade Up Program

Hasn't anyone gotten an order back from WB? I'm still wondering what you get: A brand new sealed BD or do they send like a sleeve and BD Disc back to you or something?

Re: Announcement: Warner Home Video Blu-Ray Loyalty and HD-DVD Trade Up Program

You'll receive a brand-new, sealed Blu-ray, just like you'd purchase in a store.

If I may quote...myself...I called again today to follow-up. The CSR said that they apparently "lost" my covers. They show them received on April 29, but that they must have been misplaced. He told me he called a supervisor to make sure my order got filled ASAP. We'll see (and will advise.)

Yikes. If Paul's situation was strike #1, I'd say Justin's situation amounts to strike #2.

This isn't rocket science. And while it is a program that is generous in nature and substance, it seems as if they would have had a good system in place before "unlocking their doors for business."

No company is 100% perfect. These are mistakes made by people, and while unfortunate, the key is that they are working to fix the problem.

Exactly, and it's mostly the mistakes that are getting reported here. People don't usually report successes, e.g., the 22 titles that I received 11 days ago, all exactly as they should be. It was everything except Casablanca, and that will follow when it's available, at no extra shipping charge.

The whole thing took two weeks from my mailing the sleeves to getting all my 18 Blu-rays back - smooth and flawless...

Re: Announcement: Warner Home Video Blu-Ray Loyalty and HD-DVD Trade Up Program

Just got a postcard about my 4/23 order. I called CS and was told Casablanca & Matrix were still unavailable for 2 weeks. Said I've waited this long, what's another 2 weeks? I suggested a disc-only exchange for Casablanca, but apparently that's not an option. Surprised Matrix was also out of stock - oh, that's right, they're all being sold at Best Buy & Amazon for $14.99 right now...

What does the singlre disc version of Matrix have to do with the trade in of
an hd dvd for the full box set.
