Sony NS999ES or NS9100ES

First post. Advice please. Putting together another 2 channel system. Decided I want to go with a an older model Sony, for obvious reasons. My question is, should I go with the older 999ES, or pony up the additional dollars for the 9100ES? I will, when budget permits, have Dan modwright it. What differences between the two when used in a 2-channel setup?

I am really not familiar with either , but , from what I have read the 999ES would be my choice.

I like the build quality of some of the "older" stuff as opposed to the newer models.
