In BBC terms-

Starting this Saturday(April 11th) will be the first of the four episodes that mark the final four episodes of David Tennant as Doctor Who.

This Saturday the episode is titled Planet of the Dead
The Doctor finds himself taking a bus ride that leads him and everyone else into serious danger. Along with the mysterious Lady Christina de Souza, can The Doctor stop the Tritovores?

Not sure when the other three episodes will air or when this first episode will air on Sci-fi Channel

Re: Final four Doctor Who episodes with Tennant

Thanks for that info PhilipG.
I'm very excited to have a new Doctor Who this Saturday.
I'm also glad that Tennant won't be regenerating on the X-mas episode.

Where? I can't find it on any channel here in the USA. If anyone has a channel and time for it in the USA please post it.

Thanks.

And Michelle Ryan.

Between this and the new Star Trek my geekboy quota will be fulfilled.

Sci-Fi has yet to set a broadcast date for the episode. Here in Canada it will be shown in June on Space.

I completely forgot that this was airing tomorrow. You'd think with all the time I spend on the Outpost Gallifrey forums I would remember when the episodes will air.

Planet of the Dead
The 200th episode. Also which is the number of the bus they ride.

I really enjoyed this episode.
Michelle Ryan(Lady Christina de Souza) made a great mini companion.
It's kind of sad The Doctor didn't take Lady Christina with him, but I can understand him standing by his "no companion" rule now.

It would have been cool to have Michelle Ryan as a MAIN companion for next season.

Lee Evans(Something about Mary) was entertaining as Malcolm the scientist.

First enemies and now friends, The new aliens, Tritovores were pretty cool.
Wondering if they will eventually make a return.

Carmen, the psychic tells The Doctor “Your song is ending, sir. It is returning. It is returning through the dark. And then, Doctor, he will knock four times.”

Who is coming through the dark? Daleks? Will it be the Daleks that kill The Doctor and make him regenerate? Maybe Davros?

Next episode... The Waters of Mars looks promising.

Evidentially this episode will be on DVD This episode is due for release on DVD from May 11th.
Not sure about Blu-ray.

Re: Final four Doctor Who episodes with Tennant

Oh, I fully expect the Blu-Ray, as it was the first Who filmed for HD.

I rather enjoyed the special too (and I'm hardly the biggest fan of the new series; I cringed most of the way through the recent Xmas Special). Ryan and Evans were brilliant, and the Fly-Men were cool.

But the Doctor's decision not to take Ryan with him? Gayest moment of New Who so far!!

PhilipG,

Concerning his "no companion rule"
Not a big spoiler.
The doctor will have a companion for the last two episodes.
His oldest companion to date.
Bernard Cribbins who played Donna's granddad, Wilfred Mott.
80yrs old.

It has not been said if he will play Wilfred Mott.

I think he should return as Donna's granddad

Re: Final four Doctor Who episodes with Tennant

PhilipG,

Read someones take on what might be after The Doctor to kill him and have him regenerate. There are no spoilers. It's just his assumption after watching Planet of the Dead and refers to Midnight episode from season 4.

My thoughts on the Doctor Who (Planet Of The Dead) prophecy DarkAeon’s Demented Declamations

I LOVED Midnight and I'm going back to watch it now.

But I agree with this person so far.
