Opinions on the Epson HC6100???

I am looking at purchasing an Epson HC6100. After some research I have found it to be one of the more reasonably priced lcd projectors that also provides a nice picture. I would like some general thoughts on this, and if anyone knows of a better or comparable one to let me know. I have a friend that I can purchase this from who works with a retailer. My price will be approx $2000 including uping the warranty to 5 additonal years w/ bulb replacement. I didn't think this was too bad.

Thanks for any advice you may have. My wife is about to have a HEART-ATTACK with all the money I am spending right now on just the equipment. I told her I would at least ask and see if anyone knew of a less expensive one.

Chris

Art at Projectorreviews.com picked the 6100 as the best 1080p projector under $2,000. You can read the review there and another at Projectorcentral.com. Are you talking about less expensive 1080p LCD projectors? Or 1080p DLP's also?

Jim, I haven't yet decided for sure on what to buy. I am looking to stay under or around $2000 though due to my budget. The less expensive the better, but I still want a quality pic. With that said I have found the hc6100 to be more reasonable than a lot of others. If you have any suggestions for me to look at let me know. Thanks, Chris

If your room will accomodate it, you should check out the Infocus X10. It's a 1080p DLP, and the price was $1,299 the last I heard.
