old news, but interesting: CC Closing Requiem on Public Radio

If you can get beyond Ira Glass's grating speech impediment (thanks, public radio!), a recent episode of "This American Life" featured a requiem of sorts for the closing of Circuit City, an insightful glimpse into the life of an AV Floor sales person. It's quite well done.

The segment is about 43 minutes into Episode 377. (You can click on "Full Episode" and listen to it at the site.)

Other than the fact that they know they know for a fact they are losing their jobs, it sounds like every retail job i've ever worked. Most people treat retail employees like garbage.
