DENON 3808 and Media server issue

For some reason, I can't get the denon to see my media server pc even though I can see the Denon Rx in the Windows media and it is checked for sharing.

Did anyone had this issue ? I would like to know what you did to fix it.

Strangely enough, I downloaded TwonkyMedia and denon imeediately showed it in media sever. I was able to play all the songs .

I don't feel spending another 30.00 for Twonky and I still hope that someone has a solution to my issue.

So, please come forward. All ideas are welcome

I don't recall having any issues with mine, but I have to admit I only played with it once or twice since I have a whole house media server already. When I used it I was able to stream with no problems. Have you done a FW update to make sure you have the most current revision?

I have no trouble with mine. You may want to reboot the Denon. I have never updated the firmware in mine and have had it for over a year
