Those of us who remember when B Westerns were a staple of television (through at least the '70s and maybe the '80s in some areas) will see the passing of Monte Hale at 89 as the end of an era. He was the last major B Western Singing Cowboy still living and one of the few remaining B Western actors around in general (Harry Carey Jr & John Hart are among others still alive).

An interesting obit can be found at the link below...he was very instrumental in partnering with Gene Autry to establish the Autry Museum.
