Welcome to the forum.

Your projector does have a hi-def input. Do you have the manual?

This unit is a business-class projector, not optimized for moving HD video images. It was designed for PowerPoint presentations and stationary computer images, in relatively high ambient light environments (not darkened home theaters). Its claimed maximum contrast ratio is only 400:1.

It's only XGA resolution (1024 x 768) and 4 x 3 native aspect ratio (1.33:1). However, it will accept a 720p (1280 x 720 = 921,600 total pixels) or 1080i (1920 x 1080 = 2,073,600 total pixels) HD signal. Then it will down-convert it to 1024 x 575 (588,800 total pixels), which is a 16 x 9 aspect ratio (1.78:1), and will only occupy part of the available pixels on the imaging chip set. In other words, an HD image will be seriously compromised, in multiple ways, vs. what could be realized from an actual HD video projector.

You may be aware of all this detail, but I thought it worth mentioning for the general readership. You should use one of the two DB15 VGA inputs for your computer, and the other for your HD Receiver. They will accept a component video signal but you'll need to acquire a VGA (male)-to-component video (female RCA) breakout cable. Check with monoprice.com for the adapter cable.

I am not sure this is the case...the resolutions will also have to match or at least be acceptable also.
