Warner Archive Dvd-R ?

Ok Group this is my first post so be easy on me. I have a quick question about the Dvd's that Warner Brothers will use for there Archive collection.
My understanding is that they will be using a DVD-R disc with propriatary MOD process (Don't have a clue what that means). Will these discs have a shelf life of 5-10 years like standard DVD-R or will they be more like the commercial discs . Either way the archive collection is a great addition for all us collectors
