I've got a DCH3416 Motorola cable box. This thing is driving me crazy. It does not respond very well to the remote. It doesn't matter if I use my Harmony one or the comcast remote. I have to hit the FF button ten times before it starts to work. Any suggestions to make this better?

Re: Motorola Cable Box Problem
Take it and exchange it for another one. If it doesn't work well with the Harmony either, something must be wrong with the box.Good luck!

Re: Motorola Cable Box Problem
They are kind of notorious for getting into this mode where they are buffering keystrokes but not executing them. I don't think there is much you can do about it.Get a TivoHD? It's a big outlay, but in the long run (a bit over 3 years) it's cheaper. Plus the software is much better, you can expand the drive, and there are lots of network features you can take advantage of. Only thing you lose is VOD.
