4 Seats on a Moveable Platform ?

I am thinking of purchasing 4 theater type seats - just like the nicer ones you might see at the movie theater - and installing them on a slightly raised platform behind my 3 front row recliners.

The 4 back row seats and platform would be fairly close to the back wall of the room where my tv, etc is located. Against that back wall is a cabinet which (unfortunately) cannot be moved.

QUESTION:

Is there a safe way to secure the 4 theater type seats to the raised platform so that it is possible - on occasion - to roll all 4 seats forward to gain access to the back cabinet?

I'm not an engineer or a carpenter, so I thought I would throw this out to all you home theater buffs.

Any suggestions?

Why not screw the seats to the platform and have the whole platform on casters that can be locked into any given position to keep the platform stable.

Currently the cabinet is screwed into the back wall and there are baseboard electric heaters on either side of the cabinet (also screwed into the wall).

So my thinking was that I should raise the 2 baseboard heaters and the cabinet and insert the platform underneath all three of these items. If I don't raise the 2 baseboard heaters, the heat from these units would just hit the back of the platform and (I suspect) fail to warm up the room.

I wonder if it's possible to have the chairs mounted to a thick piece of plywood that can somehow slide backwards and forwards along the top of the platform?

Sure - why not? You could put some big nuts into the base, and screw the ply sheet onto it to keep it from sliding when not wanted. For big nuts you could use t-nuts, or those threaded inserts that have wood screw threads outside to bite into the wood, and machine screw threads inside for holding the bolt.
