Are they off the mother's milk yet? I remember Bear going through great pains to get Goldie and her sis/bros off the teats. She'd stand up with them all hanging and walk away with them dragging.

we have found homes for all of our puppies.


Two friends from my wife's hospital are taking one each.
They have named their pups Pigeon and Gypsy Rose.
My Dad and his wife and getting one.
He is named Jake.
Our step-mom's daughter is taking one and have named him Max.

We are keeping two, Harry and Kally.

So while we are happy to have found good homes for all these guys
it is a bittersweet feeling.

We truly can not keep all these pups, that would make for 10 dogs in this house.
And while they are happily waking us up
2 or three times each night and like an alarm clock
they are thrilled to wake us up
at 5:30 am every single day.
We are going to miss having all these guys
running around the house and our back yard.

It has been so much fun watching them grow from
teeny little creatures to little dogs in 2 months time.

They have grown into a mob of mischievous little devils.
Even while they fight and wrestle and battle with each other,
they stop once in awhile and come over to us
and whine a bit to get us to pick them up and
be held like they babies they still are.

Over the next 7 days or so we are going from 6 puppies to two.
We are going to miss them.

Yep Tony, I can relate. And I still worry about what happened to the ones I gave away. Hopefully none from Bear's final litter got cancer like Goldie did. I told each and every person who got one that if the dog ever got to be too much for them, at any time, to bring it back to me. Nobody did.

Kally decided to jump into the toy
basket to chew on a bone.

Iphone makes taking videos easy but you need a lot of light.

Kally is the runt and she doesn't know anything other then how to be adorable.
she has also learned how to be mischeivous. as she doesn't understand what bad is yet even though we've tried to get her to understand that eating a box of tissues is not a good idea.

Harry is just sort of a goofball.
Looks a little weird.
his front half is bigger then the back half, looks like a body builder
who forgot to do his lower body.

My neighbors rent from "no pets allowed" people.  But they were buying a house that would be ready in October.  They went ahead and got a cute little mini-pincher/terrier. But now they won't be in a house until early next year.   The thing is the size of a chiwawa.  They weren't aware that puppies have to be trained in all sorts of ways before you can keep them in the house unattended.  So they leave this tiny little dog outside to the elements.  They also didn't realize how little time they have to give this attention-craving doggie.  Really kind of sad.  Their little boy likes to throw the dog in the their little swimming pool.  And this guys brother nearly hit the dog one day while I was yelling at him to watch out.  That was something I didn't want to see and the jerk ignored me.  Luckily the little pup keeps going day to day...somehow. She's pretty smart for such a tiny little dog.  

I've allowed her to have a second home at my place.  When I come home I have to stop the car to let her in with me becuase she gets real excited when I get home.  She'll play with Scooter and me.  She plays a similar "try to take this thing from me" game that made Goldie so happy. Very sweet little dog.  And...well, what I'm getting at is:  Is there prison time involved with a dog knapping case?  Hahahaha!  Hell, I don't really need to do anything.  Recently "Squirt", as I call her because she squirts when she gets excited, brought her supper dish and her bed over to my house.  They do feed her good...not mean folks, except for the brother who just doesn't really care.  They just don't have time for her.  Neither do I but I find it anyway.  ;)

these pups are smaller then the first 6 and mostly no distinctive features.
Anyone know a way to mark them so we know what one is what?
We need to keep track of who is gaining or losing wieght

Lots of breeders are still using the toenail polish trick, Tony.  Different colors/same toenails for different pups...or same color/different toenails for different pups.

I would think they are too young/small for collars of any kind. 

Let me ask my wife if she knows of any other ideas in vogue.

She says those are the primary ideas out there...but most find that collars are too cumbersome (and potentially dangerous) for dogs that small. 

Some people say to use ribbon as collars, but, frankly, that seems even more dangerous to me as I think it would be even more of a choking/chewing hazard (and risk getting caught on things). 

I guess the toenail polish is probably the most common idea out there.

we did polish.
Holly wanted to put a piece of yarn around their neck but I nixed that really fast, too risky.
