March Madness 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball (HTF Pick'em Challenge, too)

If anyone's up for March Madness picks and seeing how you do against other HTFers, check out the Yahoo Tournament Pick'em 2009, and click on "Join a Group" and then it'll prompt you to log into or create a Yahoo account. Once you do that, then use:

Group ID # 95870
Password = oar

Thanks for creating the group. I like to participate in these pools, but do it strictly for fun. This will provide a little competition. I hope we can get more forum members to participate. I was the 6th person to join this group.

I usually have my list made out on Monday but I'm a little strung up on what to do this year. As a die-hard Louisville fan I want to pick them but at the same time I'm worried about cursing them as I rarely pick the winners.

Oh well, I'll do the bracket here (not sure who I'm going to pick yet).

A little trivia question -- Can anyone tell me what very possible Championship matchup would have a special significance to a UH Rainbow fanatic?

(I ask because the prospect is quite thrilling to me, but my co-worker tells me nobody outside Hawaii would care -- or realize.)

The water's pretty wet in this pool.

But the Yahoo experience (my first time) was anything but smooth. I had to fill out the complete brackets twice, etc.

Of course, I had a bunch of problems as manager of a "Pigskin Pick 'Em group at ESPN this year, too. Anything I've done at CBS Sports, so far, has been pretty easy. I think I'm taking my football group there next year.

Guys I need some help. As stated in the 4th post the Yahoo system is kicking my ass. It seems no matter what I do that it will not save my picks. I thought that I had it taken care of yesterday but today I received an email saying my bracket was incomplete. Any ideas or suggestions?

Matt: I had similar issues. After making all my picks, I clicked on the group to see who was in there. The screen said my picks were still incomplete. I clicked on my brackets and they were empty. I had to resubmit them and they "stuck."

That's all I got. Hope it works.

Well, as of 4:00 PM, Central Time, Phillip and I are tied for last in the HTF Group. I am so glad I don't waste any money betting on these brackets.

Go Saints! What a fantastic game tonight, maybe the best I've ever seen from a local team. Both Ohio State and Siena gave it their all the entire game, and it was anybody's game right up until the buzzer. Two Ronald Moores have made my day today; first Ronald D. Moore with one of the greatest series finales in television history and then the 5' 11" Siena guard with two fate-changing three-pointers.

P.S. In the lead, now! Satisfied with every bad outcome so far except Clemson's loss; the rest were sentimental picks.

Yeah, that Siena game finish was terrific. I only got to see the last part of that one and Wisconsin/FSU today as I was at work (and can no longer see the CBS site video from there).
