Advice on inwall/satellite speakers and subwoofer

Hi ,
we are looking at getting 5.1 speaker system in our home. Have deceided to get onkyo 606 receiver.

Wondering whether we should go with inwall or on wall speakers.
Either way, we want to mount all the speakers on the wall - don't want any on the floor.

Which one do you think is better - in wall or on wall.

Also, can you suggest any inwall speakers for 5.1 system
Any speakers for onwall 5.1 speaker sytem.

Also if you can suggest a sub woofer that will be great.

My total budget for speakers and subwoofer is 350 to 400$.
This project is for our living room.

Thanks,
Chuck.

On-wall speakers are definitely better. I just upgraded all 5 of my speakers with Energy speakers for $356. You can spend even less if you get bookshelf speakers for the surrounds instead of bipoles like I did. I highly recommend the Energy C-series speakers. They're all on sale now because Energy is discontinuing the C-seies. Check out wwstereo.com and Vanns.com. I recommend the C-100's for the 2 fronts, C-C50 for center channel speaker, and C50 for rear surrounds(I went with the C-R100 bipoles for surrounds). I bought the C-100's from Vanns, and the other speakers from wwstereo.com.
