Anyone else watch this? It's NBC's version of Hell's Kitchen.

Similar premise: a world-famous chef you never heard of has people competing to ultimately get their own restaurant. Same ego as HK, but less yelling. Actually this chef (at least in the first episode) was more of a reviewer than a teacher. At least on HK, Ramsay seems to be training people.

The other difference is that people are in "couples", which is really teams of 2 people who get eliminated as a pair. Also, some of them cook and some work the dining room.

People were divided into 2 teams and each one had to open their own restaurant in NYC. An anonymous food critic decided the winner.

This chef lacks the personality of Ramsay, and the show suffers for it. I'll give it a couple more chances, but I doubt it will ever be more than a watered-down HK (did I mention this guy hosts the British HK?).
