Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

i've been getting my southpark from there for the last 2 years. what i love about it this season, is the new stuff is in 16x9 and full screen actually fills my 42". i swear it looks better than the last season set i bought on dvd.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

What can you say about an entire episode devoted to "queefing"? I laughed A LOT at this episode, but then again I'm a sucker for anything they do involving T&P or Canadians.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

I'm never watching a new South Park on April 1 again. It was cute that Terrance & Philip pulled a "Not Without My Anus" on the South Park characters, but we still had to endure twenty minutes of the same joke, which makes the joke still on us.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

The Martha Stewart confetti queef and the Mad Max queef had me rolling.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

I laughed a lot during the first half of the episode, especially at the Martha Stewart queef. Quickly after that I got bored with the same joke over and over again.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

I also liked the Martha Stewart and Mad Max gags, but I felt kinda dirty afterward.

A little T&P goes a long way. Hopefully it'll be a while before the next episode focused on farts (or queefs).

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

I found Terrence and Philip nude bizarrely hysterical. Since their heads are individual shapes, I guess it makes sense that their legs and arms would be as well but it was still weird.

^^ How aboot the X-ray in the Dr.'s office where the bones were all rectangles. LOL

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

Butters freaking out and running home was probably the greatest reaction a South Park character has had since Kenny's to Cartman eating all of the skin off of the KFC fried chicken in "The Death Of Eric Cartman".

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

I loved Cartmen's more and more complex retelling of him writing the joke.

And they got Carlos Mencia's number.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

Anything that focuses on Cartman is usually a good thing but last night's ep didn't work for me. No LOL moments.

Holy Crap!!!! Kanye says 'South Park' put him in check

Last nights episode was solid, but not knowing much or anything at all about Kanye West really left me feeling like I missed something. Though I got what they were trying to get across about West, the one liners in the story didn't really catch me, but the overall plot was understood.

Kanye took it better than Tom Cruise.

It's the second week in around where the show has meditated on a one-note joke.

Thanks for that link, that was hilarious

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

The real Kanye reaction was like a punch line to the episode (which was another "just OK" but had some pretty solid moments).

Yeah, that's an ironic quote. It's like he's saying: "If I act humbled by my egotism, I will become even more popular"

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

Great episode. And the Kanye West stuff with the final message from Cartman about Jimmy, really a double message about Kanye was genius!

I also liked the Kayne swimming with the fish and having sex with them and the
"I know that I'm a gay fish" song playing.

But notice how Kanye West doesn't deny or is upset about having sex with fish

Wonder if were going to hear something from Carlos Mencia now

And hopefully this season, once it hits DVD/Blu-Ray that Matt and Trey will elude to this news on their commentary track

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

I love how they brutalized two people I really can't stand, Kanye West and Carlos Mencia. The episode overall wasn't fantastic, but it did have some pretty funny moments at the expense of those two.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

I liked how Cartmans story changed from a black widow to him slaying a giant dragon. You're dope Kanye, those shades you wear prove it, don't let us little people tell you otherwise, sir.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

I get the feeling that a number of people will not like this episode because it was just ridiculous and silly but that's exactly what I liked about it. It's great when SP makes a point about society or a current fad but I also like when they take a break and just have a zany episode... especially when they have aliens acting like 1930's Warner Brothers-style gangsters.

The midseason finale is next week.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

After two one-note episodes back to back, I really enjoyed this. I was a cub scout, and I remember the hypercompetition of the Pinewood Derby. The first year my dad had me make it myself. A very simple shape, and a very simple paint job. My final year, "we" made the batmobile, which was probably more wood putty than actual wood. I think we might have embedded a couple lead sinkers in there too, I can't remember.

So the episode took that universal experience and then went off in a totally left-field dimenson. Loved Randy's Princess Leia outfit, loved that the car went into warp speed, loved the attention put into all of the world leaders's likenesses. Enjoyed the Simple Plan vibe of the movie, too.

Yeah, I liked this one too. It wasn't the best episode, but it was definitely fun. I love Randy episodes, especially when he came downstairs in his underwear, saw the NSA dudes and shrugged and went "Oh Crap!" LMAO!!

Did anyone get the feeling that they were making commentary on the AIG bonuses? I kind of got that feeling when they were trying to keep the money a secret from the cops.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

I'm glad I am able to watch this now. This weeks show had me rolling. I agree, Randy episodes are always funny. "I love you son" was the funniest line.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

The other day I watched the rotten The Day The Earth Stood Still remake and I see some parallels with the whole "aliens secretly testing humans" angle.

Not a bad episode, but the premiere is still the class of this season IMO.

Re: South Park: Season Thirteen

It was an okay episode. I expected better from the season finale, but
really, there are hardly any bad South Park episodes.
