i have a used HD-A30 in excellent condition. includes box, manual, remote, power cord. for $275.00 shipped. i'll include 49 HD DVD's hence the price.

i updated it when i first got it. i never had a problem with it playing, skipping, freezing, picture or audio dropouts, so i never updated it to the new FW. i was selling this before to add to my AVR fund, well i got my new Denon 889, and decided that i didn't need the A30 anymore.

used HD DVD list:

40 year old virgin
300
batman begins
the big lebowski
all 3 Bourne movies
i now pronounce you chuck and larry
cinderella man
constantine
fast and the furious
ff tokyo drift
happy feet
harry potter order of the pheonix
hulk (2006)
italian job
king kong
the last starfighter
lost in translation
mallrats
mission impossible 3
mummy
mummy returns
phantom of the opera
pitch black
riddick
seabiscuit
serenity
shrek the third
shawn of the dead
sleppy hollow
superman returns
tmnt
transformer
troy
u-571
unforgiven
van helsing
what dreams may come
complete matrix trilogy
south park fun with weapon promo HD DVD

SEALED hd dvds: 300, beowulf, casino, aeon flux

slight scratch but works: T3 and tomb raider (got them from Hollywood video)

and i will throw in the HD DVD ADD-ON for the 360 and a Sony PS3 remote (if you want it)

i figured HD DVDs already in a collection can be sold to make up some cash.

sorry, but i only take paypal and i will only sell in the US.
PM me if interested or have questions.

yeah it's a steal, but not having references or feed back makes it hard to sell.

mondayshift,

I am interested in discussing your item for sale further. I just signed up for this forum, so I can't post a PM. I have an established account on AVSForum. I think I can receive a PM here even if I can't send one...

Re: Used TOSHIBA HD-A30 and 49 HD DVD's

Thanks, I got your PM but it won't let me reply yet.

Did you happen to use the player on a native 1080P television? I have ready that the A30 for some reason takes the 1080P material on the disc, converts it to 1080i, then uses bob and weave to get it back to 1080P for output.

Suppossedly the A35 and Xa2 do not do this, which would also explain why they are selling for a fortune still...though given your collection here I would be happy to just tell the A30 to output 1080i and let my HP TV do the upconversion to its native 1080p/60.

I would like to talk to you about further about a possible deal. I think I need a few more posts before I can answer a PM through the site. If you would prefer, please send me your email in a PM and we can discuss it further. My biggest concern is doing a paypal deal outside of the protections offered by eBay, etc. Do you have a username with feedback on some other site?

Thanks!

i have a sharp 52d64u and it's 1080p native and when i've used the A30 i never noticed anything weird. does the bobing and weaving do something weird with the PQ. i'd be more than happy to try something out if you need me to.

i have never really sold anything outside of craigslist. but on ebay my id is dizon1 and i'm a buyer with 22 gold stars. if that makes a difference.
