Celebrity Apprentice season 2 - Page 2

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

Scott was a little weasel. And his EEE idea was horrible.
Tom did everything he could to throw ideas and names out there.
Clint Black is also on my hate list.

Except for the stupid EEE name, I actually liked the guy's presentation and I thought the woman gave a very week presentation.

I actually hated this episode, and found it really dull.
I also agree that 2hours is too long for this show.

I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to last for this show.

It looks like this Sunday that Tom Green might be on the fired list.

I love the two hour format and love this show. To each his own.

i was just having a similar discussion with someone else. i am entertained by seeing the most competent team win. that is why i can sit down during any part of any season of 'the amazing race' and be entertained. that show is truly about who is the best.

i haven't watched 'survivor' in years because that show stopped being about who was the best after the 4 iteration.

although i am watching this seaon of 'the apprentice' i liken it to a jerry springer show. a show that i despise.

i also think that the show would do really well if there were teams of competent celebrities that participated. andrew dice clay. rodman. gtfo!

perhaps i am in the minority but i would still watch.

and one more thing. they need to get rid of the celebrity donors. that is a crock. they also need to get rid of the 'sudden bonus money' in the middle of a challenge.

leave it at is most base element and let's see where the real talent lies.

totally agree with the spirit of your message. but i think you meant expanding 1 hour into 2 hours. absolutely not necessary for this show.

thank the maker for dvr's.

another show that is guilty of this is 'the biggest loser.'

Pardon my figure of speech. It goes back to my college days when many "students" managed to "cram" 4 years of college into 5 or 6 . Thought that one was a little more wide spread, but oh well, why bring up the past (almost 30 years ago). Bottom line there just isn't any more to these tasks than had been seen in previous seasons in 1 hour episodes. The finales were usually 2 hrs and there was a lot more to do. How long can they continue to show Dennis doing nothing and Annie taking over every conversation and task she can? It just drags a bit at 2 hours.

Yeah, it's amazing how you can "cram" a two hour program in less than an hour when you can blip through the commercials. Tivo rocks!

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

No way I'd sit through 2 hours of the show in "real time". With the DVR, I'm usually able to finish off a 2 hr. episode in about a little more than an hour. Hell, the first 10-12 minutes of last week's Apprentice were a recap of the previous show.

The most competent team generally does win- they raise the most money or do the presentation the client likes better, or whatever the task is.

But I still don't see how Dice was incompetent- he at least went on the radio to publicize the event. Rodman just hid in the truck, waiting for people to find him there. He did less than Dice on that task.

Yeah, the last thing we need is large amounts of money being raised for charity!

you obviously didn't get the intent of my message.

more money for charity is a good thing.

pulling out your rolodex to win one of the challenges doesn't make a better team or a better television show. there should be a way to do do that while at the same time minimizing the way it effects how a challenge is completed.

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

I wonder if Dice wanted to be kicked off quickly. I can't see him wanting to be on the show for too long. But, he is on long enough to get people talking about him again.

I got it alright. What better way to quickly raise money than calling on wealthy friends?

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

I'm kind of disgusted with last night's result. I don't think Tom was a great leader, but what does Rodman have to do to get fired? He does no work, drinks on the job, doesn't show up for a whole day, refuses to see a doctor when claiming to have a medical problem... why is he still on the show? Certainly he's gone way beyond whatever Dice did to get canned.

Did Jesse do anything on the task? Other than Clint and Herschel (who raised most of the money on the phone), none of the guys seemed to do much.

I bet we'll see a remixing of the teams in another week or 2.

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

That whole task was a joke and whether they want to admit it, the guys proved it. They could have been selling coat hangers, and the result would have been the same. Notice how they pretty much did nothing to fix the place up, or create a unique marketing plan? One quick call to the carpet exchange to get a $100 red carpet, 20 minutes at Kinkos for their banner (probably what Jesse did) and the rest was just waiting around for their donors to come in.

At least the ladies tried to make it an 'experience' but in the end it still came down to who had the biggest donors since they only sold 1 more dress than the guys.

Just like last year with Gene Simmons, the Donald knows that Rodman is the biggest star on the show and will keep him on as long as he can even though it is obvious he doesn't want to be there. Apparently he didn't realize he signed up for a reality show that involves 'work'. Tom Green wasn't a good PM by any means but there was no question he should have stayed. Trump pulled up a weak excuse by saying he was horrible last week when he wasn't, he was just ignored.

They need to go back to making creative tasks that don't rely on donors.

That sure was one hot Russian bride though.

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

Gene Simmons was only on for 2 or 3 episodes.

Exactly, and it was only because the Donald did everything he could to not fire him. Gene did everything he could besides quit.

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

But unlike Dennis, Gene actually did awesome in the first two episodes. If Trump wanted a valid reason to keep him around besides entertainment value, he could've turned to past performance. Dennis is a complete waste of a slot, although it seems like that changes next week. I was rooting for Tom; who was easily the most entertaining person of the season...just like Gene last year.

Dice was still more "entertaining" than Herschel and that's kinda the point of the show......to entertain. To each their own.

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

Well, I'm done with this show.

I was bored by this episode.
The guys are just a bore to watch.
My two favorites are now gone. which was reason I wanted to check this season out.

Dennis Rodman should have left and not Tom Green.

I need to stick to my one reality show(Hell's Kitchen), which is all I can really handle
post #51 of 99

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

I don't like reality shows. The last one I watched was season 2 of Survivor so its been quite awhile. I was bored though and ended up watching the last half of the second episode of this and I really enjoyed it. I recorded a rerun of the first episode and the first half of the second and got caught up but Sunday's episode made me hate this show. Tom made some mistakes on the second day but the team was much better organized than previous weeks and there was no fighting. Tom's presentation of the wedding dresses wasn't great but I can see where he was going with it. There's no reason why he should have been fired. Rodman hasn't done anything and should have been gone. Trump saying Tom was "lousy" last week was unfair too. He did everything he could to contribute to the group and Clint and Scott shut him out. He was one of the most productive members of the group and argued his points without yelling or name calling, unlike everyone else. If I were Tom I would have told Trump off.

There's no one I'm rooting for now so I don't know if I'll continue watching or not.

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

They shouldn't have had a wedding dress theme until the teams were mixed up, which they should have done by now. The men had no chance in this task from the get go. I agree Rodman is a waste of a slot and should have been fired instead of Tom. Men against the women is just boring. I understand for the first few weeks maybe, but mix the celbrities up already. If a team is a disaster one week, firing someone and asking them to compete again against the superior team is pointless, especially at the celebrity level.

to each his own really applies here.

some people are entertained by people making asses of themselves.

other people are entertained by seeing a team come together to make a cohesive strategy to best another team.

ymmv.

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

Finally we got to see some cat fighting! I can't believe the ego Melissa has going for her. I loved when she boasted about her producing red carpet events, haha. Real impressive! Dennis Rodman is such a waste of space on this show. Even the drama he is supposed to be bringing to the show is lame. Shame Tom got sent packing instead of Dennis. Both teams sucked at this project. Mens team was a concert and the womens team was a stand up act. What does that have to do with the product?

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

My favorite part in the boardroom was when Melissa quietly (it was subtitled) asked her mother, who didn't really have anything to do with the discussion, to jump in on her argument with Claudia.

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

I was surprised the men won by such a large margin, because I thought the women's presentation was better. At least it was more about the product than the men's was. What does Brian singing have to do with it?

I was hoping Melissa would make some crack in the boardroom about Claudia's challenging job of opening briefcases on a game show.

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

I was glad to see Claudia get the boot. She seems like a real witch and it wasn't just last night's episode giving me that opinion of her. Every week she had nasty comments about someone and I was getting really tired of her obnoxious attitude. Run on back to Deal or No Deal, sweetheart.

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

Although it was a bit heavy handed like as if it was a Lifetime special especially with that music, it was kinda sad.

Jessie is really becoming the standout at least in terms of character.

Re: Celebrity Apprentice season 2

Damn what a great episode. I loved how Donald exposed that Kardashian! What a waste of space.
