Well, it would depend on the show--I'd love to see that happen with Stargate: SG-1. Not only would I save the shelf space (five full-size Amaray cases per season), but it would hopefully get the quality out of the overcompressed five-episodes-per-disc hell that it's in.

There is also the opportunity to add what the DVD versions lacked, where available: decent picture quality (which can be attained by going to the earliest possible generation), unedited episodes, and extras.
