Question to anyone that can help. I am installing a whole house audio system. There will be speakers and volume controls in every room, and the living room will be set up for 5.1 surround. I am looking for a receiver that can handle all of this. I have a 8 zone Impedance-Matching speaker selector, seven pairs of 6 1/2 round speakers for the ceiling in the rooms, and Impedance-Matching volume controls for every room. In the living room I have 2 8” rectangle wall speakers, a center channel, and four 6 ½ for the front and rear. I am not interested in LOUD music or a lot of power just want good sound. So the question is what receiver would handle this. I am trying to stay under $400 for the receiver.
