I just ordered 2 Energy bookshelf speakers for my 2 fronts, and I'm trying to decide if I should use brackets or put them on shelves. Would either sound better for any reason? The speakers are rear ported and have a 3/8" threaded insert for a bracket. If you used shelves, can you recommend a low profile/good looking shelf support that's either black or can be painted black? A pic of your shelf setup would be great. Thanks.
