* Apologies on the spelling. Should say Inglourious Basterds.

Re: Inglorious Bastards: Trailer

I'm looking forward to it since I enjoyed the original version. Tarantino has always borrowed from various films so it'll be interesting see what he takes from the EuroWar genre.

With that said, the trailer was pretty weak.

Re: Inglorious Bastards: Trailer

Trailer is pretty uninspiring.

Re: Inglorious Bastards: Trailer

If it wasn't for Pitt's rambling, redundant speech you'd hardly know it was a Tarantino film. But I'm looking forward to it.

Re: Inglorious Bastards: Trailer

Looks very unlike a Tarantino film.

It will be interesting to hear the musical score.
Tarantino once stated that in his films the soundtrack is 50% of it's importance.
Other than that, it looks like an average WWII film.

Re: Inglorious Bastards: Trailer

Besides Pitt, I didnt recognize anyone.
Funny since at one time QT talked about a cast w/ Tim Roth, M Madsen, Adam Sandler and Sam Jackson.

I havent seen the original since the early 80s, but it looks like he took the name but is making a completely different movie.

Re: Inglorious Bastards: Trailer

It seems like the basic storyline is going to be the same, although this one here adds a love story to the mix. The original film was just a rip of THE DIRTY DOZEN anyways.

Not that they're giant stars but Eli Roth (who had a small part in Death Proof and is the director of Hostel), B.J. Novak (from The Office) and Samm Levine (from Freaks And Geeks) are all in the trailer.

Re: Inglorious Bastards: Trailer

Looks good. However I don't think i'll make a special trip to the theaters to see this one. I'll wait for the Blu Ray.

Re: Inglorious Bastards: Trailer

I'm pretty sure this is the type of movie that doesn't have a lot of "trailer friendly" scenes, but having said that it was still a horribly bad teaser. If I didn't know it was a Tarantino flick I'd say there's no way in hell I'll see it, but since I'm a huge fan of his films I'll definitely check it out(probably on Blu-Ray and not at the theater, though).

Re: Inglorious Bastards: Trailer

I'm sure Tarantino is disappointed so many are going to be waiting for a Blu release. He really can't afford another bomb at the box office.

Re: Inglorious Bastards: Trailer

Just the names Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino will get people to go. It won't be a huge hit but it'll make its money.

Man.... looks awesome to me! I'll gladly be seeing this in the theaters!

I hope it has that BUTTON appeal and not the JESSE JAMES/GRINDHOUSE duds. It seems like this is Tarantino's attempt to capture an audience again so hopefully it works.
