Trouble with Digital Cable

I have been having an issue with my system, first of all, I have a Optoma HD80 projector, I also have a high def cable box and a onkyo hr800 reciever, the problem I am having is all my channels that show in high def are in the 200 to 295 channel range, when viewing these channels the screen will have serious latency issues as in freezing and moments later return only to freeze again, now if I go to the lower channels which are not broadcast in high def, I got no problems what so ever, I also have my projector hooked to a PS3 with no trouble, The PS3 is hooked with a HDMI cable and optical audio, The cable box is hooked thru the receiver with composite cables that also run to the projector, Tonight I will try to isolate the trouble by hooking the projector directly to the cable box, This system has been working fine for several months, I also viewed the high def channels on my plasma screen in another room with no trouble's at all, I'm thinking my receiver is the culprit, any idea's on this,

Dan

I am hoping you mean you have the projector shooked up via component cables.

As to the problem... Connect another display like a small TV to the cable box directly if the Optima doesn't work with a direct connection.

I had this problem some time ago, the issue was the cable companies problem, the signal strength to my HD channels was too weak coming into the house after it had worked fine for a year. they had to do some work at the main box but it didn't fully fix the problem. I installed a booster that was specific to the HD channels and that fixed it.

I later gave up on cable because they repeatedly had similar problems with my broadband but that is another story.

Good Luck!
