Image Size??

I am looking into buying the Espon 6500UB Projector.

Image size - the given range is 40'' - 200''.

My question is how different would the picture quality be between 120 inches and 135 inches? is it significant if at all?

I have room for either size screen, Im just wondering if the picture quality decreases as the size of the image increases?

How do you adjust the size of the image, is it just a mater of calibrating it?

Re: Image Size??

Yes, the bigger the image, the image quality decreases. How much is hard to say until you view the projector. You adjust the image size by turning the zoom lens. You may not be able to go as large as you want anyway. It depends on the brightness of the projector, and how dark your room is.

Re: Image Size??

The room is dedicated to the theater and has no windows so it will be dark, it is about 16' x 23'. Is there an optimal distance to set the projector from the screen?

Re: Image Size??

I recommend mounting it in the middle of the throw range. That gives you leeway when using the zoom. First you need to determine your seating distance from screen. Then that lets you determine your screen size. Have you used the "Projector Calculator" at Projectorcentral.com? It will show you the screen size the projector will allow from any throw distance(distance from lens to screen).
