Freezing issue with Toshiba 40RV525U

I bought the Toshiba 40RV525U (40" 1080p LCD) about three months ago and overall have been very pleased by the picture quality and features of this relatively inexpensive set. However I have had a problem with the image freezing or going blank. This has only occurred about 15 times since I got the set and turning the set on and off has so far cleared the problem. Afterwards everything works fine.

This happens on both the cable connection (Comcast Digital HD via the component/colorstream input) and the dvd player (Oppo 980 upconverting player connected via HDMI.)

I have searched the web trying to find any info, but the only issue I have seen is that there can be problems with game box connections ( I have no games.)

Has anyone else had any experience with this set? Or can anyone give me a clue what the problem might be or suggest some possible solutions?

Thanks.

Could be the control board going out or you may need a firmware upgrade.

Perhaps there are others who actually work on LCD panels who can better diagnose the problem.

Thanks.... I have found a few other references to similar situations with this set. In all cases it appears that turning the set on and off clears the problem and it doesn't happen often.

If anyone else has this set and has any similar experiences, please let me know.
