Digital Channel Signal Strength Low Message

hello,
i've had my hd tv set up for about a week now with no problems at all. now when i go to turn on my tv i get a message saying "digital channel signal strength low". i was thinking it could be the cable, my set up is as follows:

cable from wall > cable into splitter (2 way) > cable in 1 split runs to cable internet, and cable 2 runs to tv.

i know it's not the splitter, because im currently getting signal for my internet as im typing this. i made sure that all connections were tight, my only thought is that it could be the new cable i put from the splitter to tv.

any suggestions/tips?

probably just a weak signal coming into your house. You (or your cable company) could put a signal booster on somewhere before the splitter. All it is is a little box that plugs into power, your cable goes in one side and out the other. Your cable company can take a signal strength readings at your tv and modem to see how much boost is needed.
