At my work I have been getting these automated calls about getting a mortgage. It tells you to press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to get removed from the list. The first few times I hit 2. Then after still getting the calls I pressed 1. As soon as someone picks up. I try to explain that they keep calling. But, as soon as they realize I am not interested in the mortgage. I get hung up on. When I do a *69. I get a number that when I call asks if I want to be taken off the list and that it takes 24hrs to remove it. After the third call in one day. I pressed one and as soon as the lady answered. I asked her the name of her company again. She said "I never gave it to you". I asked her not to hang up and that I wanted to be taken off. She then said ok and hung up. I guess I if they call again. I will try to act more interested so I can get more info on who they are. This is so aggravating.

Re: Anyone get those annoying mortgage calls?..
I've been getting two types of automated calls, one for extending my car's warranty (I haven't owned a car for about a decade), and the other for renegotiating a credit card's interest rate. Both of them act like this is an important, official announcement.Just for fun, instead of hanging up one day I pressed 1 and got an operator. I asked him about my warranty, and he admitted that it wasn't an official call from a car company. Basically they're just trying to scare people into talking to them and then try to make some (probably) bogus sale. I then mentioned that I was on the no-call list, and that, in fact, I don't own a car. That's when he hung up on me.
Re: Anyone get those annoying mortgage calls?..
The fact that they hang up on me when I try to talk to them is what infuriates me the most.
