XBL alert: "The Maw"

The Maw arrived as an 800 point download on XBoxLive Arcade on January 21, 2009. From early indications it looks like an interesting $10 title. It finished in the top ten of the PAX2008 - Penny Arcade Expo - Indie games and was also voted fan favorite at that event.

We'll know for sure on Wednesday when you can either download it or hedge your bets with the Demo first.

Braid and then Kingdom for Keflings (a surprising addictive harmless title). Can The Maw provide us with a trifecta of downloadable, enjoyable titles?

Stay tuned....

re: XBL alert: "The Maw"

The Maw has released another level (Brute Force) for 100 MS points this past week and will be adding two more levels (River Redirect and Speeder Lane) in the coming weeks - also at 100 MS points each.

New achievements and some additional game play. I understand that this content didn't make it into the original game (ala Deleted Scenes on DVDs) but after playing Brute Force I enjoyed it as well.

Re: XBL alert: "The Maw"

It didn't make it in because of Microsoft's size limitation requirements for XBLA (150MB or less). So, this had to be an add-on pack. "Maw" is harmless and addictive and the gameplay is well balanced.
