Circuit City closing all stores - they've finally given up - look for great deals this weekend

You might want to check prices at other stores before you buy anything because they're staying open until March so I think great deals on electronics won't be around for a couple weeks. And unfortunately by then the good stuff will probably be gone.

I stopped going to CC during the DIVX days and have not bought a single thing from there since. I also used every opportunity to keep friends and coworkers from going whenever possible.

I feel bad for the employees who will be out of a job, but I won't loose any sleep over the company going away. I would even say I am actually happy about it. Long live DVD errr, um.. Long live Blu-Ray!!!!!

During the EARLY days of the Blu/HD format war they put the Blu-ray displays in the front and the HD-DVd stuff in the farthest back corner---I never forgave them for that bit of retailer intrusion into the customer's decision making process.............

Sorry for the workers, but good ridance to the company.

I won't miss them either but adding more people to the unemployment ranks will not help this country.

Definetly an unfortunate situation regarding the economy. All the proof that we are really dealing with a serious financial problem in this country. Boy I do wish I had some disposable money but my guess is that by the time sale goes on, they will be out of stuff before you know it. March is still over a month away and my biggest interest will be of course software BD to be exact.
