What do you all think of the Rock's next movie? I think he does best with the action + comedy genre and this looks to be another one of those.

Trailer here: Apple - Trailers - Race to Witch Mountain

Re: Race to Witch Mountain (2009)

I think The Rock's next movie belongs in the movie section, not TV. That said, I liked the original "Witch Mountain" movie (but not the sequel), but I'm not holding out much hope of this capturing the magic of the original.

(Admin note - thread moved to the movies area).

Well, one thing you can say about a lot of these trailers is that they leave you with the feeling that there is no need to actually go and see the movie, since the trailers pretty well tell you the whole story.

Firstly, sorry for the misplaced post!

While I did like the original one too, I also like that they've updated this version with a more modern twist. A nice little blast from the past, though, is the kids from the original (Kim Richards & Ike Eisenmann) will make appearances in this one....One thing not shown in the trailer and one thing to look out for in the movie!

Sounds interesting but The Rock makes me not want to see it.
Love the originals.

Here's the Super Bowl spot (in the off chance you missed it):

Race to Witch Mountain - ComingSoon.net Movie Database

And an extended clip of the chase scene, which looks pretty cool to me. I like that there's more action in this one actually! Looks fun.
