Hey all...
I just got a new home theater setup and unfortunately my receiver only has one optical input on it, but I still want to get surround on all of my inputs (HD-DVR, PS3, and XBOX 360). I ran into this optical switcher on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Toslink-Optical-Audio-Cable-Switch-For-Xbox-360-PS3-DVD_W0QQitemZ140287659367QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_Def aultDomain_0?hash=item140287659367&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A4|65%3A15|39%3A1|240%3A1318
and also these optical cables:
http://cgi.ebay.com/3PCS-6-Digital-Audio-Optical-Optic-Fiber-Toslink-Cable_W0QQitemZ390015563307QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_D efaultDomain_0?hash=item390015563307&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A4|65%3A15|39%3A1|240%3A1318
I just wanted to check to see if anybody had an opinion on using a switcher like that. I'm not too worried about getting the top sound quality, as I live in an apartment building and I have some neighbors who aren't afraid to bang on the walls! However, am I going to see a DRASTIC drop in sound quality from using the switcher and these cables, or should I be okay?
Thanks in advance for your help!
