Light to turn on when TV does

I would like a light to go on behind my TV when I turn on the TV. There must be a device that senses current in the TV power cord or plug when the TV is turned on and which can activate a powered module which will then provide power to a separate lamp. I do not even know what to call it in order to google for it. Xantech has a series of products which when strung together would probably do the job, but way too expensive and convoluted. I have looked around a lot without much success and am starting to feel a bit foolish. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Many Thanks.

No personal experience with their products, but it should accomplish your goal.
