Philips LCDs any good, or not?

Are Philips LCDs any good are they junk? I've read on various websites about Philips being quite good, then other people saying "I would never buy a Philips, get a Panasonic or Sony"...of course everyone told me Sharp (even non Aquos) was awesome too, and I got 2 duds.

Here's the set I saw:

Philips - Flat TV 32" class LCD integrated digital - 32PFL3403D/F7 - 3000 series - Flat TV - Televisions - Sound and vision

Just wondering if Philips is crap?

How is their customer service? (I was NOT impressed with Sharp's customer service at all) and will it last? I don't want one to conk out after 15 months. I've not decided on this or any LCD or brand, and if I can get the Panny 32'' I will, but I just want to weigh my options. I know Philips sold out their U.S. market to Funai, but I presume the 2008 models are still the pre-Funai sets and are good?

Well I decided, after much reading and research to go with a Panasonic TC-26LX85 even though it was more money than I wanted to spend. I got a good deal on the 26" model, (they were sold out of the 32") but I was happy with the 26 inch size so that's not really an issue, considering it's a Panasonic.

I can't wait for it to arrive as I'm looking forward to all the features it has..(i've already downloaded the manual)
