I just upgraded my receiver to the Denon 3808CI to take advantage of lossless audio. I have an older projector that doesn't have a HDMI input. So I was wondering is it possible to run the video through the receiver using component video cables and still get sound out of a HDMI connection to the Denon or can I only get the audio through HDMI if I'm passing video through it too. I ask because I've tried hooking an HDMI cable up for just sound and wasn't able to get it to work.
