Ah, another BluRay feature. Wonderful.

From what I understand they are working on a software solution to the problem, but it's a problem with the hardware/spec of the tech.

Most discs nowadays use BD-J programming. I find that the best thing to do is leave Secondary Audio 'Off' unless I specifically have a PIP track I want to watch, simply because I watch more TrueHD audio than I do PIP tracks.
I got to thinking, is this really a significant drawback. When watching secondary audio will you care about having the very best sound? Is this similar to watching a movie with the commentary on? When I'm watching a movie with a comentary on, the movie's sound is played at a low level and priority is given to the commentator. Do I need full TrueHD for this?

Re: SPHE Press Release: Groundhog Day (Blu-ray)

Audio quality probably isn't a first consideration when watching a PIP commentary track.

However, it's a nuisance when you have to enter your player's setup menu to turn on the secondary audio in order to make the PIP feature work, and then you need to need to remember to turn it off afterwards. If they could have the disc software change the player settings automatically, that would be great.

I second that.
